Here are some great resources to help you obtain permits, licenses and plan a successful and safe canoe trip to the Boundary Waters and Quetico.
Boundary Waters- While Minnesota fishing licenses are always available here at Williams and Hall, they can also be purchased on-line at: http://licenses.dnr.state.mn.us/
Minnesota fishing Regulations: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/regulations/fishing/index.html
As in the past several years, Boundary Waters permits are also available on-line at: http://www.recreation.gov/unifSearchResults.do?topTabIndex=Search
Minnesota DNR Lake Finder- Valuable lake and fishing info:http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/index.html
Quetico Park Resources
Quetico Park- Ontario fishing licenses are available on-line! To purchase Ontario fishing licenses you can click on the following link: https://www.ontario.ca/page/fishing
Fishing regulations that cover Quetico Park: http://files.ontario.ca/environment-and-energy/fishing/2017/2017_FMZ_5_English.pdf
Purchasing Ontario fishing licenses on-line has proven to be an easy alternative to attempting a purchase at Prairie Portage and with the notices from the Quetico Park office last year, on-line purchase appears to be the best option if entering through the south end of the Park.
Quetico Parks permits are also available on-line if you would like to reserve your own: https://reservations.ontarioparks.com/Quetico/Backcountry?Map
