Here at Williams and Hall, there is no doubt that we love the Boundary Waters. Our lodge and outfitting operation are right on the edge of the wilderness. We think everyone should take a paddling adventure in BWCA and Quetico. But why take our word for it?
National Geographic Traveler
National Geographic Traveler has named the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness one of the Top 50 Travel Destinations in the entire world. Yes, the entire world. They cite the BWCAW as one of the “50 Places of a Life Time”. According to National Geographic, “the Boundary Waters offers a wilderness adventure like no other”.
Outside Magazine lists canoeing the Boundary Waters as a must on their Adventure Bucket List. The magazine also highlights the Boundary Waters as a Best Destination.
1,000 Places To See Before You Die
The book, 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, touts itself as a “Traveler’s Life List”. The Boundary Waters is on their list. The book describes the Boundary Waters as “paddling through paradise”. They further state that “ it’s outdoorsmen who come, drawn by crystal-clear waters rich with North America’s greatest variety of game fish (including smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike and lake trout) and deer- and moose-filled wilderness that’s guaranteed to wipe away the stresses of the modern world”.
Not only is the BWCAW featured in the 1,000 Places, but Williams and Hall is as well. The book lists Williams and Hall as the outfitter to use.
So, as you can see, we aren’t the only ones who love the Boundary Waters and Quetico. Put a Boundary Waters paddling adventure on your bucket list. You won’t be disappointed!
