Kevin Lynch is co-owner of Williams and Hall Outfitters, located 20 miles outside of Ely, MN on the Fernberg Trail. Williams and Hall sits on the shore of the 1,300-acre Moose Lake, a major gateway to the Boundary Waters and Quetico. Kevin focuses on enhancing the company’s digital presence to educate and excite the next generation of Boundary Waters visitors. Although Kevin is based in Chicago, he escapes to Moose Lake often. His hobbies include paddling and backpacking in wilderness areas. He is a devoted fly fisherman and outdoor photographer, who has been camping and fishing throughout the United States since he was a boy. He has held multiple leadership roles for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and is proud that his son is an Eagle Scout. His education includes an MBA and a Ph.D. He is associated with the Center for Values-Driven Leadership at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, where he is an adjunct professor. Kevin has presented and published in the academic realm. He regularly writes this blog, as well as articles for the All Things Boundary Waters Newsletter. Kevin’s research ability enhances his blog. Kevin and his wife, Karen (whose sense of a wilderness adventure is eating dinner on the patio) live in suburban Chicago, where they raised their 2 children. Kevin’s partners, Blayne and Charlene Hall, live year-round on Moose Lake in the lodge where they raised their 5 children.
