Wilderness BWCA Fishing Adventures
The fact that these waters must be fished by canoe means that for all intents and purposes, the order of the day is catch and release. Sure fisherman may keep a few for the frying pan, but practically speaking it would be very difficult to refrigerate fish all week with the idea of taking them home. Additionally, who wants to carry fish across the portages all week. These facts of canoe fishing lead to the two main characteristics of Boundary Waters Fishing:
- There are a lot of fish.
- There are a lot of big fish.
Basically, there are two ways to approach fishing in the Boundary Waters. First, you can do it on your own. Or second, we can set you up with a great fishing guide. Either way we have everything you need for great fishing trip. We will be happy to assist in any way possible. Remember, in order to maximize your trip, book early and get appropriate permits for the Moose Lake chain and Basswood Lake!
