Winter to Summer In the BWCA

Nice Catch!

Aptly titled, this season has gone from frozen water lines to sweating floors in the outfitting store because of the heat & humidity…in what seems like just a few short weeks. The walleyes spawned roughly a month ago, and with water temperatures reaching the upper 60s in many locations, the bass have probably wrapped up their seasonal routine as well.

Life Goes On Up Here

Life goes on in the Canoe Country. Pandemic, social distancing, civil unrest, political division can all take a break…however brief… with an escape to the Northwoods. While there are plenty of issues going on in the world today, a few days in the woods to refresh the mind, body and soul can have immeasurable value to help one focus on the importance of friends, family and working together.

Learn From a Week in the Woods

Up in the Canoe Country, the trees pay no mind, the wind blows, the sun shines, the rain falls and the bugs bites…no matter who you are or where you come from. The fish don’t have a clue who is on the other end of the line. There is a lot that can be learned from a week in the woods. A little more camping & fishing and a lot less strife would be a good thing, the way I see it.
