No More Excuses For Planning A Great 2022 BWCA Canoe Trip

See this content in the original post

There is no time like the present to start planning a 2022 Boundary Waters canoe trip. Here are some tips to get you going on canoe trip planning. Start now so you will be ready when permits become available in January. And, we hope that Quetico will be open and ready for you, too.

No Excuses

We all can make a 100 excuses why we can't go on an adventure trip. Time, money, physical condition are just a few.

However, consider throwing those excuses out the window now. If you don't stop making excuses, you will never go on that adventure.

Make a Commitment Now

Ok. No more excuses. So it is time to make some commitments.

Create a special savings account now and put money in it from every paycheck. You will find this much easier than coming up with all of the cash for a trip at one time.

Also, start some daily exercising now. Even 10 minutes of exercise and stretching every day or two will have you ready for a Boundary Waters canoe trip next summer.

Bring The Family or Some Friends

Now that you are committed to a canoe trip, find some folks to join you. Pick up your mobile phone right now and text your spouse or friends about your trip idea. Bringing your family or friends can make a trip in the BWCA or Quetico quite memorable.

Be willing to take the lead on planning the trip. Make it easy for the others and they will likely come along.

Start Writing Down Your Plan

Time to start writing down your plan. Find a quiet place with an internet connection, a pen and some paper. Go to our website for lots of ideas and info and start planning. Jot everything down that attracts you as you go through the various pages of our website.

Think about dates. What type of trip do you want - easy or hard? Do you want to fish on your trip?
