That makes it essential that you contact us by the middle of January if you want to fish from a motorized boat. By contacting us early, you allow us to get your permit requests in at the head of the line.

Can I Do OK On My Own?

YES!!!! We are here to help you be successful. And we have very experienced fisherman on our staff that can answer all your questions and point you in the right direction, and give you rod and reel and tackle recommendations. We can help you know where to fish on the canoe route that you have chosen. For instance, we can tell which lakes on your route offer the best walleye fishing.

Additionally, we have a complete tackle and bait shop that can set you up with what is working in our area. We make sure the prices are competitive and fair on all our products. Most of our customers fish on their own.
